When your very talented cousin creates beautiful pieces of art using quilting of course!
Today’s blog is showcasing my cousin’s art exhibition when she graduated from art school in 2017.
All the pieces involve fabric and quilting in some ways. Let me show you.

Crazy Patch Quilting
Earlier in 2017, I taught my cousin, Katie how to do Crazy Patch Quilting. She used this technique in some of her pieces of art. They are stunning! Have a look with me.
Do you have a favourite? It’s hard to choose but I do love the Strawberries and leaves picture.
Katie also did several paintings using patchwork fabric as the base for her work.
The Sculpture called Harold
Then there was Harold! He is an amazing sculpture.
The stand he was displayed on was also covered in patchwork fabric.
My daughter, Hannah, also an artist, really admired and reflected on the sculpture, Harold.
Lastly, my cousin wrote a bit about her inspiration for her art work. A testimony to her faith in Jesus. Wonderful reading!
So don’t think of your quilting as just a craft! It is artistic expression and be proud of it!
