In January 2015 I made two versions of the Charmingly Sashed Quilt by Kristin Blandford, Sunnyside Designs, purchased at Craftsy.
One was the “baby” version of the Charmingly Sashed Quilt, using Fleurologie charm squares and border, with white sashing, Fleurologie border. It is sunny and fresh. It’s my favourite! I quilted it with free motion quilting. I named this quilt “Spring”
The second version of using Charmingly Sashed Quilt, was a mini size using my own fabrics, vintage and autumn themed fabric, with cream sashing and “tea stain” border fabric. I used stitch in the ditch quilting and 1/4 inch straight line quilting.
On the mini quilt, called Vintage Rose, I made a handwritten quilt label using fabric pen, bordered with one of the fabrics I used, then hand sewn on to quilt with blanket stitch.
On the Spring quilt, I made the label on a word document and printed it on a piece of printable cotton, it was hand sewn on with a straight stitch.
This pattern is quick and easy to make up, especially if you use the recommended charm squares.
